We use only select grade Northern White Ash – no blemishes and straight grain. Ash has been a standard for wood bats for decades. One key asset of Ash is its springboard affect acting like a slingshot upon contact. Although the Ash bat will break down over time, it's still a great wood. MAPLE BATS

We use only pro grade Rock Maple (sugar maple), which is the strongest and most stable of all Maple wood. Maples extremely close grain and appearance finishes beautifully and has great performance. Since Maple is heavier than Ash, we can trim the barrel or cup the end to customize the weight. We believe you're getting the best Maple bat at Omaha Bat Company.
